                                           EDITORIAL
Cinema and Theatre Historical I was first introduced to CATHS by an enthusiastic member, a former
Society of Australia Inc. projectionist who lived close to where I live. Although I had no
ABN 56 004 920 745 CAV No. A0020747R industry background, my interest in heritage architecture and
especially the ornate theatre buildings of yesteryear, initiated my
involvement with CATHS. It was pleasing to meet other enthusiasts

The CATHS Archive has become my focus within the society.
Produced and Edited by: Meeting the band of dedicated volunteers on my first visit, brought the realisation that I could
Mike Trickett & Richard Twentyman. assist in the enormous task of researching and documenting the venues throughout Australia.

Printed by: The Archive’s move, along with the Prahran Mechanics Institute (PMI) to larger premises, has
Mill Press Geelong allowed for an expansion of the facilities. We now have an extensive database and files of cinema
and theatre history, which has proved invaluable for CinemaRecord articles. As well, information
Magazine & General Distribution: is often provided for visitors, researchers and architects.

Patrons: occur regularly throughout the year, often producing articles for the magazine.
